In an effort to keep things real around here, all posts on the Blue Orchid Designs blog are strictly editorial and are never paid placements. We gush about ideas and people we like. It's pretty simple.
If you have an idea or product you think we would love, you are welcome to send us an email at info{at}blueorchidweddings.com or a sample telling us about it, however this does not guarantee that we will write about it and samples will not be returned.
Advertising
At this time, we do not host advertising on the Blue Orchid Designs blog nor do we accept pay-for-post inquiries (see editorial policy). If we mention a book in our post, we will link to it in our online store. The revenue generated offsets any blog costs incurred (domain hosting, giveaway prizes, etc), which we intentionally keep to a minimum.
Comments
Comments are held in moderation and individually approved. Comments that disagree with an opinion are generally approved for public viewing - we do encourage open conversation and different points of view and realize that not everyone will agree with us 100% of the time. Comments that are personal attacks or flames will not be tolerated and are deleted.
Please refrain from using obscenities or posting inappropriate material. We like to keep it family friendly around here.

My name is Liene (and in case you're wondering - it's pronounced Lynn) and I am the founder of Blue Orchid Designs, a wedding planning firm with consultants in Arizona, New York, and Washington DC. I also own The Smart Planner™, a company that provides business resources and coaching for professional wedding consultants. Some of my favorite things include candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach. Oops, sorry! Wrong intro.
In all seriousness, we're glad you've stopped by our blog! We love weddings. We love people. And we really love pretty things. So we dish about all of the above here at the Blue Orchid Designs blog. Our blogging style is direct, pragmatic and fun. If the dress isn't your most flattering style, we'll tell you. We'll also be the ones wearing waterproof mascara on your wedding day because chances are very high that we will tear up when you walk down that aisle.
